When I felt the need to seek alternatives, I began a search that led me to discover a new world in permaculture. The initial failures, supported by the coherence of its ethical principles, always made me believe that this will be our best future.
So many years later, I clearly remember the moment when I learned that a PDC (Permaculture Design Course) was taking place in the interior of the Algarve mountains (in Ameixial). I was so excited that I went to visit it. There was Nuno, and we immediately started sharing our vision and developing ideas that would later materialize in the implementation of several projects. We provided free PDCs open to the entire population, transformed public spaces, and built an educational apiary where we trained many beekeepers.
At a time when few even knew the term permaculture, we had the audacity to introduce regenerative practices into public service. None of this would have been possible without your enthusiasm and professionalism. I don’t know if I ever thanked you, but I want to do so now.
