Aspiring Regenerative Designer,
I am delighted to present you with a unique internship opportunity designed for those with a deep passion for Permaculture design and regenerative design. This intensive six-month program is crafted to provide you with a challenging and rewarding hands-on experience, allowing you to learn and grow in our field. As your experienced mentor, I am committed to guiding and supporting you every step of this exciting journey.
There are two options available for this internship:
Option 1: Present a Lead
In this option, the program will begin with your presentation of a potential client/lead. Together, we will collaborate to develop the proposal, and in the following months, we will work on the project. During this period, you will gain valuable experience in all aspects of masterplan development, including cost estimates, timelines, and the use of tools like QGIS, Excel, and other relevant applications.
You will be directly compensated by the client for the project you are working on, and we will have monthly meetings to review, adjust, adapt, and ensure progress until the project’s completion.
To be eligible for this option, it is essential that you have substantial experience in landscaping or permaculture projects. You should be proficient in reading maps and identifying key features, such as watercourses, ridges, and landmarks. Proficiency in the use of QGIS and Qfield is crucial, as well as familiarity with tools like Google Drive, remote access, Google Earth Pro, and GPS and GNSS systems.
Regarding the presentation of a potential client (lead), it is important that the lead is solid and concrete, avoiding vague and abstract approaches. A solid lead is someone genuinely interested in hiring you for a design project.
Option 2: Volunteer and Design Assistant
If you do not have a lead to present, you can opt to join as a volunteer and design assistant on a project I have in the pipeline. In this option, you will work directly with me on existing projects, gaining hands-on experience in regenerative design and permaculture. You will participate in all phases of the project, from conception to implementation, learning to use tools like QGIS and Excel, and gaining valuable knowledge about cost estimates, timelines, and project management.
